Sharkey Warns Me When I Forget Alt Text
What feature would you like implemented? There should be a toggle in settings which allows users to opt into a warning and/or a hard stop when they attempt to post an image that has no alt text. A three way distinction where users could choose no prompt, a warning where they can select "post anyway", or a hard stop option may be best.
Why should we add this feature? Having a prompt that reminds us to post alt text helps make the fediverse more accessible to people with certain visual impairments. Having it be opt in keeps the software accessible for people who may have other disabilities which make typing alt text difficult
