Hide posts from blocked users

What feature would you like implemented?

Currently, if you block a user, you still see their posts if they're boosted onto your timeline by someone you follow. I'd like this behavior to change, or at least have an option to change it.

Why should we add this feature?

While you can already block and mute people to achieve this, having to do so every time is tedious. Blocks already act as a mute in addition in most places, including Mastodon, and most other social networks outside the Fediverse as well. Generally, when people block someone, they want nothing to do with that user. The use case for blocking someone but still wanting to see their posts, unless you explicitly go out of your way to look for them, is incredibly rare.

I just realised that if I block someone, the code also makes me unfollows them, and makes them unfollow me.

Now I finally understand why you all only see notes from people you blocked when the notes are boosted!

Given that, yes, I agree that the code should also mute the user I just blocked.
