Ability to view a private status that has been reported
What feature would you like implemented?
I would like to have the ability to view a private status if it has been reported through the report system. Say that person A makes a follower's only post and person B reports it to me. If I do not follow person A I cannot make a moderation decision on the report because I am unable to see what was reported. I would like to be able to bypass visibility restrictions for this specific scenario. This has been something that has bothered me for a while, especially if I am blocked by the person who is being reported and cannot view their note regardless of visibility.
Why should we add this feature?
Although I think this feature may be controversial I think it is worth considering because it allows reports to be processed instead of ignored when visibility gets in the way. Generally speaking, we as fedi administrators (assuming you're hosting it yourself) have access to the database. I believe that if you cannot trust your administrators not to misuse this (by reporting posts that they cannot see just to see the post) you shouldn't trust them enough to be an administrator of your instance.
