Draft: Features/tests

What does this PR do? (Please give us a brief description of what this PR does.)

This PR adds a bunch of validation tests to the api's endpoints. This is a work in progress I am hoping to cover a lot more of the endpoints, but as of right now I'm already at 55 files changed ~2,800+ lines added.
